Wheat Free Wraps

Wheat and gluten products have received lots of bad press. Wheat and other grains are used to make bread as well as an array of other products like cake, biscuits.
The problem with any of these products is they cause a spike in your blood glucose once consumed. If the glucose isn’t used for energy it will be stored as fat. Unfortunately many gluten free alternatives contain other flours like potatoe and rice that will cause your blood sugar to rapidly rise.

The good news is that you can make a healthy alternative for a wrap that contains no wheat, gluten and won’t cause your blood sugar to spike.

Flax seed Wraps:


1 egg
1 tablespoonful water
1 tablespoonful coconut oil (melt first)
3 tablespoonfuls ground flax seed (linseed)
1/4 teaspoonful baking powder
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 teaspoonful of paprika or other spice.

Whisk ingredients with a fork or whisk and pour into a microwave dish that has been greased with oil. I use the lid of a casserole dish. Just spread it out so it covers the area.

Microwave on high for 2 minutes.

Thats it. Get it out with a slice and flip it over.This lets the sticky bottom dry.

You now have a wrap that wheat and gluten free and won’t spike your blood sugar. Use the filling of your choice. personally I love avocado, tomato, nuts and lettuce.
